was issued by Prof.
Takahashi Nobuyuki , haiku poet, in September 1983,supported by Aoba Tosho, in Matsuyama, Japan.
The Suien, May 2000 issue, will be the 200th. We aim to creat the haiku having both brightness and depth, and to write in modern lively words with untied minds. The characteristic point of Suien is that the people in younger generation ( Sakura School, Ehime University ) in tens or twenties actively write haiku with elder haiku poets. The second point is that for almost 30 years we have been associating with foreign haiku poets who are
Americans ,
Germans
and Chinese, etc. exchanging haiku and visiting their countries. The third point is that our haiku is poetry and then we have been associating with the poets, the novelists and the professors of Ehime University and others.
As our masters we should show you the haiku poets
Kawamoto Gafu and
Nishigaki Shu.
We are affected by them.
Please appreciate our following haiku poems in Japanese , English , German and Chinese .
